Soft skateboard wheels have more grip, are quieter, and absorb irregularities in the ground better than hard wheels. Because of this, they slide less than hard wheels and are a bit slower. They are great suited to rougher surfaces and for cruiser & filming boards because they absorb the uneven ground and minimize noise. A soft wheel is slower compared to a harder wheel.
